A self contained automation solution
The Frostie picoClimate
is unique in its functionality and design. In its current form,
it is designed to regulate the temperature inside a greenhouse by
controlling the amount of ventilation available to the cooler outside
world. However, this product is highly versatile and could suit
a plethora of other automation applications.
The picoClimate performs
this task by monitoring the internal air temperature of the greenhouse,
and opening or closing vents to increase or reduce airflow, respectively.
It has the capability to control up to 5 vents by providing accurately
timed relay closures for each vent.
Customisability and Flexibility
The picoClimate is highly
customisable to suit individual needs.
All temperature functions
are user specified, including the desired operating range, and maximum
allowed temperature. The Frostie will then manipulate the vents
to maintain the temperature within the specified range. The picoClimate
will subsequently wait for a user defined period of time to elapse
for the temperature before reacting to the new environment.
The customisability is
further seen in its 3 modes of operation:
- 2 Automatic Modes
- Group Mode: Provides quick response temperature changes
by cycling all the vents simultaneously
- Cascade Mode: Provides finer, slower, temperature
control by manipulating single vents
- 1 Manual Mode
- Direct Control Mode: Allows for personal preferences
to be enacted immediately, and allows for control in emergency situations
Small, powerful and easy to use
The Frostie picoClimate
is a small unit that places at the disposal of the user a powerful
set of easy to use functions, all displayed on a clear screen. These
elements combine to create a state-of-the-art, self contained, cost
effective solution for a variety of automation applications.
With its ability to autonomously
monitor, regulate and log the temperature inside a greenhouse, the
Frostie picoClimate is clearly a world leader in design, functionality,
and cost effectiveness.
